Three Days at Texworld and Avantex Paris

Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris brought fashion brands, manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers together at Paris Le Bourget. Seamless Source exhibited at Avantex Paris, the event's innovation-focused show for advanced and sustainable fashion technology.

As a Product Relationship Management platform, we demonstrated how one intelligent product record can connect specifications, materials, suppliers, certification evidence, sustainability information, lifecycle data and customer-facing Digital Product Passports.

Across our conversations with brands and manufacturers, the same themes appeared repeatedly: new regulations are increasing pressure, essential data remains scattered across different places, and enthusiasm for AI is growing faster than practical understanding of how to implement it.

What We Demonstrated in Paris

We showed how fashion businesses can move from fragmented information to one connected operational foundation for products, compliance and AI.

One Intelligent Product Record

One reliable record connecting product specifications, materials, suppliers, certifications, sustainability information, lifecycle data and every relationship around the product.

Digital Product Passports Beyond the QR Code

The QR code is only the visible layer. Reliable Digital Product Passports depend on structured, current and connected product information underneath.

AI Built on Structured Product Data

General AI tools can answer questions, but dependable business AI needs trusted data. Seamless Source structures product and supply-chain information so AI agents can support daily work with relevant context and human oversight.

What We Heard from Fashion Businesses

Across conversations with brands and manufacturers, three themes appeared again and again.

OBSERVATION 01

New Regulations Are Raising the Data Requirement

Fashion businesses are preparing for new compliance demands, but the evidence and product information they need are often spread across different teams and systems.

OBSERVATION 02

Product and Supply-Chain Data Are Still Scattered

Product, material, supplier, certification and sustainability data often live in spreadsheets, emails and separate platforms, making traceability and circularity harder to manage.

OBSERVATION 03

AI Interest Is High, but the Data Foundation Is Missing

Many teams know tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini, but are less clear about applying AI to daily business processes. Without structured, reliable data, AI cannot produce dependable operational outcomes.

Founders, Funders and Fashion 4.0 panel at Avantex Paris 2026
FASHION 4.0 PANEL

Founders, Funders & Fashion 4.0: Europe's Race to Lead the Future of Fashion

  • Moderator: Nicholas Betts, Fashion 4.0
  • Joe Darwen, CEO of CircKit
  • Adam Hankin, Co-Founder & CEO of Gemell
  • Shana Chu, Head of Growth & CX at MAKEA
  • Chathura Sudharshan, Founder & CEO of Seamless Source

Moderated by Nicholas Betts from Fashion 4.0, the 45-minute discussion brought together founders and operators working across circularity, digital sampling, on-demand manufacturing and connected product data.

The panel examined whether the Digital Product Passport will become a competitive advantage or a compliance burden, where Europe has an advantage in fashion technology, what investors still misunderstand about the sector, and what it takes to scale AI and infrastructure into a risk-conscious industry.

“Can Europe turn regulation, textile heritage and fashion-tech innovation into a genuine competitive advantage?”

What Comes Next

Our time at Texworld Paris reinforced that fashion businesses are actively exploring AI, supply-chain traceability and product circularity. Turning that enthusiasm into practical progress starts with structured product data, connected relationships and technology that supports the people already doing the work.

AI agents should work alongside business teams. Not replace them.
